Official Commissioning of the SOcean Platform on 6 November 2026 at the Port of Heraklion!
For more than ten years, we have been working towards our vision – developing, testing, adapting, and rethinking our ideas along the way.
Now, the moment has finally arrived:
Our SOcean platform is out at sea, and we would be delighted to celebrate its official commissioning together with you.

The RES Project Greece is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as part of the Renewable Energy Solutions Programme of the German Energy Solutions Initiative.

The German Energy Agency (dena) is a centre of excellence for the applied energy transition and climate protection. dena studies the challenges of building a climate-neutral society and supports the German government in achieving its energy and climate policy objectives. Since its foundation in 2000, dena has worked to develop and implement solutions and bring together national and international partners from politics, industry, the scientific community and all parts of society. dena is a project enterprise and a public company owned by the German federal government. dena’s shareholder is the Federal Republic of Germany.
With the aim of positioning German technologies and know-how worldwide, the German Energy Solutions Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) supports suppliers of climate-friendly energy solutions in opening up foreign markets. The focus lies on renewable energies, energy effi-ciency, smart grids and storage, as well as technologies such as power-to-gas and fuel cells. Aimed in particular at small and medium-sized enterprises, the German Energy Solutions Initiative supports partic-ipants through measures to prepare market entry as well as to prospect, develop and secure new markets.
With the RES Programme, the German Energy Solutions Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Af-fairs and Energy (BMWE) helps German companies in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors enter new markets. Within the framework of the programme, reference plants are installed and marketed with the support of the German Energy Agency (dena). Information and training activities help ensure a sustainable market entry and demonstrate the quality of climate-friendly technologies made in Germany.

SOcean Goes into the Water
On May 19, the long-term test of SINN Power’s SOcean platform will begin in Heraklion, Greece.
Following an initial floating test, the complete system will be tested under real offshore conditions for the first time.
The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy under the 7th Energy Research Programme.
A Platform for Energy, Infrastructure, and Maritime Applications
With SOcean, SINN Power is developing a modular floating offshore platform that combines renewable energy generation and maritime infrastructure in a scalable system.
The platform can integrate solar, wind, and wave energy, while also serving as a support system for monitoring, aquafarming, technical installations, or supply solutions - robust, flexible, and designed for demanding conditions at sea.

Designed Modular. Built for Offshore.
The system is based on a scalable platform module. Depending on project requirements, SOcean can be equipped with
wave energy,
photovoltaics,
small wind turbines,
working areas (for heavy loads)
or additional technical components.
Thanks to its modular design, the platform is suitable for both pilot projects and larger arrays as well as project-specific special applications.
